Focus on people, materials and process. Our sustainable approach
We are proud of our sustainable approach and continually strive to minimize our impact by
Consciously choosing materials and methods that contribute to a better world. Redie focuses on
People, Material and process. Our sustainable approach
Focus on PEOPLE
Vital and healty lifestyle
We strongly believe in the power of people and see them as essential building blocks of our success. That is why Redie facilitates and motivates a vital and healty lifestyle within the team.
Consider the right workplace (sitting and standing desk), greenery in the workplace, bicycle plan, fresh fruit and the provision of an annual health check, etc.
Growth and further training
We believe that continuous learning and development contributes to a more sustainable world. That is why we regularly offer our employees training and workshops, so that they can continue to improve their knowledge and skills in our profession.
Our businesspartners also play an important role in this. Together we strive to share knowledge and experience, so that we can inspire each other and learn from each other.
Just like the future, Redie does not stand still; we continue to innovate. Redie is eager to learn and alert.
Focus on MATERIAL
Control over raw materials
When you want to focus on sustainability, it is essential to know where materials come from, what raw materials they contain and how they are made. Here too, collaboration with various suppliers ensures that we can offer a wide range of sustainable materials for (re)building interiors.
In addition to the well know quality marks such as FSC and PEFC, there are also materials white sustainable properties such as; biobased, recycled and/ or materials produced in Europe.
It is even possible to calculate the environmental impact of the interior using the EPD (Envrionmetal Product Declaration) database. For example, it may be the case that a product has been produced in a very sustainable manner, but had only a short lifespan or cannot be reused or recycled after use. Then a product as a whole is not as sustainable as we would like to see it.
You will find the CO2 footprint of the material (Global Warming Potential – GWP) on the EPD report. This number tells you whether a product is better or worse for global warming.
Focus on PROCESSES
Plan of approach
Our processes also play a role in sustainable entrepreneurship. For example, Redie invests in good machines and programs such as CNC machines and software, which in this case ensure significantly less sawing loss and limit our purchasing.
But the way of constructing an interior is also decisive. A demountable interior is increasingly being chosen. This way we can still use, refurbish or reuse materials in 20 years’time (2nd life).
