The StationHuiskamer

The interior of the StationHuiskamer is designed with both comfort and functionality in mind. The removable wall of the back cabinet, framed with oak veneer panels, sturdy black steel frames, and oak shelves, forms a stylish base. This is combined with easy-to-maintain stools and chairs with soft upholstery in warm colors. The layout of the counter provides ample space for self-scans, multiple cash registers, and bag platforms. The various products are displayed next to the counter on high and/or low wall shelves and displays. In short, a beautiful and practical whole!

The StationHuiskamer is a comfortable space offered as an additional service by NS at various stations across the Netherlands. This space provides travelers with the opportunity to wait in a pleasant way, with amenities such as real-time travel information, hot drinks, power outlets, and free Wi-Fi. There are now more than 34 StationHuiskamers spread across the Netherlands.

We are continuously working on the sustainability of the interiors for the StationHuiskamer. In collaboration with NS, we are committed to creating interiors with the smallest possible ecological footprint. For each location, we explore whether components and materials can be reused in the new interior. A win-win situation!

The design by the architectural firm Cor & Partners B.V. (Cor van Leeuwen) for the StationHuiskamer's interior has been further developed by our engineers into a modular interior concept. This ensures a consistent and recognizable appearance that can be adapted to various locations.

In addition to visual recognizability, a modular interior concept also offers advantages in terms of engineering and production.
